Mayfield Organic Farm
In 2023, Convert the Dirt launched a comprehensive Compost Program in collaboration with Mayfield Organic Farm. Our role was to provide end-to-end technical training for the farm team, focusing on:
- Feedstock Selection: Identifying the ideal organic inputs for nutrient density.
- Windrow Engineering: Professional assembly and structural management.
- Precision Monitoring: Rigorous health checks to ensure high-quality, crop-specific compost.
Today, Mayfield produces its own premium compost on-site, which serves as the foundation for their EcoCert certified organic macadamia and tea tree crops, as well as for their sugarcane.
By transitioning to a biologically supported fertility from compost applications, compost-based soil drenches and foliar sprays, the farm has successfully reduced external fertilizer inputs and significantly boosted natural plant immunity.
Living Earth Compost and Instant Lawn
Convert the Dirt was contracted to help refine Living Earth’s premium compost process. Production accelerated from 12 months down to 4 months. All benchmarks for quality and biological evaluations were exceeded. The team continues to build and manage for consistent, high-end output.
Africa Zero Waste Hub
We have worked together as a consultant for Africa Zero Waste Hub from their early days to refine a system that handles complex, unpredictable food waste streams. With ongoing site checks and staff training we continual push the needle on biological quality, ensuring premium output even with rapid turnaround times.
